France/Korea, an encounter between dancers learning dance Kelemenis and 3rd year dance students from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon leave for Seoul, Korea to create Noegero/vers toi, a work in which 10 dancers from the CNSMD meet 10 dancers from the Korean National University of Art.
A dance in fusion
"I meet up with dancers from the Conservatoire de Danse de Lyon, an institution that trained many of my company’s dancers. To this pleasure is added the immense surprise of seeing the artists of the Korean National University of Art and my dance bring about a spontaneous fusion that, I believe, is largely rooted in traditional Korean dance, which is fluid, spiral, virtuosic, close to the ground and rich with arm work."
Michel Kelemenis
The title Noegero/vers toi plainly signifies the necessary attention that each man and woman must give to each other on a daily basis in complex circumstances. It is also about the respect that artists show to the public by giving their best every instant while on stage.

"I know the artists training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon for many years because I have choreographed many works for them. At the invitation of Philippe Choen who heads the dance department, today I am able to discover the dancers trained at the Korean National University of Arts and to choreograph for them all a work that will make this encounter a success.
On concrete, electro-acoustic music by the Frenchman, Christian Zanési, written piecemeal in Seoul and then in Lyon, qualities of each individual dancer are shared and exchanged. From this novel—and a little unsettling for me—mode of composition, I hope to bring the dancers in this project to observe each other and to notice their differences.
The many dancers of quality from each school give me the rare opportunity to compose for a large group. But, this abstract work that stages dissimilar physicalities, Noegero/vers toi has nevertheless the ambition to enable each artist to be singularly discovered and appreciated by the public."Michel Kelemenis
